When it comes to your health and appearance, your hair and nails can make a big difference. If you are experiencing problems with skin and nails, you may benefit from a visit with our dermatologists, Dr. Kraig K. Jenson, Byron Edwards or Dr. Devin Burr.
With lots of experience helping our patients to look and feel their best, we can evaluate the extent of your condition to determine an optimal course of treatment.

Hair Loss

Treatment will depend on whether your hair loss began gradually or happened suddenly. We will take into account what medications you are currently taking, whether you have been dieting and whether you have some kind of allergies. These factors will help determine the reason for your hair loss. Our dermatologist will also look at your scalp and hair, and if needed, at the hair on other parts of your body. Assessing this means seeing if you have too much or too little hair in those other areas. Our dermatologist may opt to take a scalp biopsy or have your blood tested. Early hair loss treated early on can make a big difference!

Treatment

Depending on how much hair you have lost, we may recommend transplanting hair from another area of your scalp, surgically removing the bald spot on the scalp while moving the area with hair closer together or inserting a device under the skin for a few weeks to better stretch the scalp areas with hair.
